Rosario Dawson, Tiffany Haddish Were ‘Besides Ourselves’ Working with Jamie Lee Curtis on ‘Haunted Mansion’

Rosario Dawson’s new Spooky Manor film has a ritzy cast, yet there was one entertainer specifically she was eager to work with. As Dawson, 44, talked with Individuals as of late — before the Screen Entertainers Organization picketed July 13 — she named Jamie Lee Curtis as one entertainer she and costar Tiffany Haddish were especially eager to work with. “Jamie, you know, me and Tiffany were most certainly other than ourselves being around [her],” Dawson says, adding that working with the Oscar victor, 64, was essential for “the magnificence of” making the film on the spot in New Orleans.

“We got to really invest energy with one another that wasn’t simply on set,” she says of the cast’s holding meetings. ” It was truly gorgeous how [director Justin Simien] sort of united us and gave us all precious stones and we were perusing the content together and simply making these decent minutes.”
“Tiffany would host these house gatherings where she would get her nails and her henna done, and [Danny Devito] would come over with Jeff, our costumer,” Dawson tells Individuals. LaKeith Stanfield even facilitated a game evening, however Dawson says she couldn’t join in. ” Pursue continued to toss parties,” she adds of her young costar Pursue W. Dillon, who plays her child in the film. ” Pursue set up our wrap party. He’s so fantastic. We just had a great time.”

Dawson, who has become familiar with Disney creations through playing Ashoka Tano in late Star Wars Disney+ series, adds that she called everybody in the cast to compliment them on the film whenever she had seen the finished product. ” Also, Jamie messaged me after she had seen it, you know, and just — we’re truly stirred up about it,” Dawson says of Curtis. She adds that she delighted in getting to know Owen Wilson while chipping away at the venture, too.

“I believe it’s a truly exceptional film, and it is truly not quite the same as the [2003 Tormented Manor film featuring Eddie Murphy],” she adds. ” It has an entirely unexpected energy, and [Simien] will say it’s bright Dark, it’s extremely New Orleans.” The film held its reality debut at Disneyland last Saturday, however Dawson and her costars couldn’t walk honorary pathway because of the Droop AFTRA strike.
The film follows Dawson’s personality Gabby and her child (Dillon), who select a group of extraordinary specialists and examiners to free their recently gained home of phantoms, including the contemptible Hatbox Apparition (Jared Leto). Both this Spooky House motion pictures and the 2003 film depend on the famous Disney fascination and ride of a similar name.
